The Downyflake is a Nantucket tradition. Conveniently located in the mid-island area, the restaurant is easily accessed by bicycle, car, or NRTA bus. We are known for the big doughnut sign outside, and the delicious flaky doughnuts inside. We are a family-friendly restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and daily specials in a classic diner atmosphere. For over eighty-nine years now, we have been proudly satisfying the appetites of Nantucket locals and visitors to the Island.
The Downyflake is Nantucket’s only classic, diner-style eatery. The Downyflake has both both DINE-IN and TAKE-OUT service. We serve Breakfast and Lunch. We are way more than just a coffee shop; our menu features fresh squeezed juices, hearty breakfast fare, homemade soups, fresh salads and deli sandwiches.
